For you guys in Las Cruces/Southern NM has anyone been to the new state park on the Rio Grande i.e. ''Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park''. Are there any developed trails for hiking and biking?? Are there picnic tables or areas to chill at??

Thanks !!

I haven't been there, but found a few pictures (public gallery) of the new visitor's center.

Been gone for a month (and missing Mesilla) but at last view the new Bosque park was still a ways away from opening. Going to be a wonderful thing when it gets rolling...and only a mile from my casa. The buildings look great, and I hear they'll start some planting and flooding of low areas to get wildlife interested this year. It'll never be Bosque del Apache, but it's still a great place.
By the way, there are plenty of walking paths, etc. at the Mesilla bridge, anyway.
