April 13, and seems like April Fool day. Haven't seen an inch and more of rain in 24 hr period in many years in April. The local Ski Apache ski area closed after Easter and there was mostly ground bare of snow as recently as Saturday. The attached photo is a screen grab from the area web cam this morning.

April showers promise May flowers for the first time in years here.

Couldn't see the peaks of the mountains from in town Ruidoso yesterday, but here is a screen shot from mid-town this morning - April 14 (Tuesday). See attached.

Rainfall totals were in the 1-1/2+ range for the 24 hours Sun-Mon.
