Posted this in the Colorado forum, but I thought I would post it here, since this is more New Mexico I think.Took a drive to Four Corners Monument the other day. I thought it was interesting. Not very many people there beside myself, maybe 10 or so, high clouds around 70 degrees, some good reasonably priced Navajo crafts and such, one food vendor, plenty of restrooms and picnic tables. Admission $3.00. This is one of those places I think a person has to visit at least once just to say they've been there.
Hasn't it been determined that the Four Corners Monument actually isn't located on the exact spot where the four states meet? I remember it being mentioned on the History Channel's special "How the States Got Their Shapes" a while back, anyway.
I was there a few years ago and they didn't charge admission.
I got a nice turquoise necklace with a silver bear pendant that I wear often and get tons of compliments on.
This makes me want to go back and visit and take pictures again.
Things have been very quiet lately. I'm sorry I didn't say anything when you first posted
but I thought that was a pretty cool pic...
