I'm moving to Monroe Manor Condos (Applegarth and route 33) in a few short weeks and also (hopefully) starting a new job in NYC sometime thereafter. I know there is a park and ride at exit 8A only about 15 mins away from my development, I was just curious if this is the obvious choice for commuting into the city?? Also their website is terrible, where would I be able to find information about monthly pass pricing and also parking availability?? I am literally stumped and need to gather this info before I accept any job offers.
Thanks in advance for your help!

That's one option, there's also a bus that run along Applegarth that makes stops and goes into NYC. You can also take NJ Transit trains from Princeton or New Brunswick.
When I took the bus from P&R, I usually buy a weekly book of ticket for 10 rides, not sure how much it is now? You also have to pay for parking there, daily or monthly permits are available.
I went there last weekend to check it out. The lot seemed quiet big. I dont know if it really fills up or not.
The poster said Monthly parking is $35. My concerns are
a. do you actually get a space in the bus. It seems like 8A is the last stop on the bus before NYC so how much space is really there
b. The monthly pass is only valid till 8:30 AM in the morning and till 7 PM in the eve. Anything outside is regular fare. IMHO, 8:30 AM is very early to stop taking Monthly. Do they really enforce it?
If you are moving to Monroe Manor Condos, you must also check out the Park and Ride lot at Abbington Dr, right on Rt33 (near CVS, across from Kids Kottage). There is limited service from this location, but if you can find something that works for you, this lot is just 5 min drive from Monroe Manor. I think Suburban/CoachUSA schedules refer to this location as Twin Rivers stop. Most buses from this lot go via Applegarth Road to 8A park and ride which takes forever, but there are a couple which go directly via Exit 8 to NYC.
