Below are a few articles I found regarding Newark, Camden, and East Organge, but maybe you can do some more research on your own and educate yourself on how dangerous those areas are because I don't have time for that:

I simply just wanted to provide some information about Keansburg and explain my point of view about the town. I wanted to point out all the pros the town does have to offer. I never meant for this to blow up and can not believe how quickly it escalated out of proportion hence the reason why I don't come on this site much haha. There are way too many strongly opinionated people on this post for a pretty silly topic to discuss, argue, and attack others over. Its difficult to type thoughts into words sometimes and I did not mean to offend anyone what I meant to type was that I will not further add to this topic or further discuss it. Any way, I hope everyone is enjoying and having a great holiday weekend!

Articles don't really cover it. I've never been to East Orange, through but not to Newark, and Camden quite a few times. I wouldn't choose to live in any of them. What do you personally know about those places?

ETA: Pine Hill? That's the funniest thing that I've read here recently. It's probably very much like Keansburg. My son moved there a couple of months ago and hasn't had any problems. A couple of weeks after he moved in, he had a package delivered to the house at about 10 AM, and it was still there at 4:30 when he got home. His very long, like three blocks, street is quiet. Nearly everyone else is a senior or retired. Everyone that he's met seems very nice.

Compared to Newark, East Orange, and even Linden, Keansburg is very good. In general, Keansburg is mostly white lower class, but violent crimes are not nearly as high as those other towns mentioned above. My main concern living there would be flooding.

I’m moving to the area from Indianapolis To work in Middletown. Prices in Keansburg looked attractive. Several coworkers advised against it.
