nice place to live in north jersey and schools (Newark: transferring to, area)

I am transferring to Newark airport. I would like to know where is a nice place to live that is not to far from the airport. I have a eight year old child also and what schools are good. I heard Elizabeth and Union City.

You would get better responses posting this on the main NJ board which covers the area you are talking about. This section of the forum covers South Jersey, which are the counties near Philadelphia.
