I am trying to find various parking options near the Rutherford Train Station for a non-resident. I called the Rutherford town and was told that there are two options for non-residents: 1) $100/month (I guess near Erie Av) and 2) $50/month near Kip Av. Any other options?
Are the above two places easy to get to in the morning if one is coming from Woodridge? The roundabout right opposite the station seems to be a bottleneck.
Also there seems to be quite some parking along Railroad Av which is on the East Rutherford. Are these available for non-residents too?

As for Railroad Ave, check to see if there is a street sign indicating resident permits needed. If not, you should be okay.
Wood-Ridge has a station with plently of parking...
Regarding parking at Wood-Ridge, I had called up ParkAmerica regarding the $120/quarter permit parking and $3/day parking posted at the train station. I was told waiting list for permit parking is in years while the daily parking gets filed up by 7:30 am.
Seems to be true. I had gone today around 11 am and that is indeed the case. It's a small lot, maybe around 15 for permit and another 15 for daily.
Otherwise I would have preferred Wood-Ridge since the passcack line has slightly better peak hour freq to Hoboken than the line for Rutherford.

Maybe I was wrong about 15 + 15 spaces earlier. Njtransit website indicates 98 spaces. I think I turned back earlier today I.e right below the moonachie av overpass. Need to check again going even further this time.
Ive never seen all the spaces filled even on event days theres still at least 25-30 spaces open , the vast Majority of station users walk or bike to the station.

I checked the Wood Ridge parking again today at 3 pm. All the daily parking spaces were taken. Some permit ones were vacant but permit wait list is in years.
