Assuming that you are asking if you can place your daughter in JP Stevens HS instead of Edison
HS, the answer is no. Every school in the district, be it on the elementary, middle, or high school level, has a specified "catchment" area from which its students are drawn.
The only exeception might be in the case of a student with specific learning problems that have been diagnosed by a medical professional. In a case like that, if one school has a special education program that the other school lacks, then a student is allowed to enroll in a school other than the one in whose catchment area he/she resides.
Does your child need a special educational program?
If so, then the answer is a qualified, "yes".
However, to the best of my knowledge, the programs at the two schools are essentially identical.
