Coaches leave all the time and are constantly being pursued by other teams(both college and pro). They are rarely called scumbags for leaving regardless of the timing especially if it is a move from the College to Pro level.

Can't blame him for taking it, though Chip Kelly changed his mind and decided he would rather stay in Eugene. These are those flashpoints in a coaches life when you decide if you want to be a college lifer or advance to the next level. These chances do not happen with frequency. I think Bill Belichick's fingerprints are almost certainly on this, as the Bucs consulted with him prior to this interview.

Does this mean we can spend his $2.3 million dollar salary on education again? When I was at Rutgers, a few of my professors (mostly adjunct, they had stopped hiring full time) had part time jobs at cafes/restaurants to help pay the bills. It was always strange to have Dr. So and So make you your coffee after class.

That was ten years ago, I can't imagine how bad it is now.
