My wife and I are contemplating moving to Waldwick. With the waiting period to get a parking permit for the train station being about a year, I'm looking at having to take a Coach USA (Shortline) bus to and from NYC for work. The bus picks up at Route 17 and Prospect St. Can anyone tell me where exactly this bus picks up, if there's nearby parking, how walkable it is from the western (residential) side of 17, etc.?
It's only walkable if you live within 1/2 a mile of Rt. 17. The bus stop is right at the bottom of Prospect close to the Rt. 17 pedestrian overpass.
If you plan to live west of Franklin Tpk, i'd say it's too far to walk. If you're over by Crescent Ave. it's definitely too far to walk. There might be an Nj transit bus closer to Midland Park.
