Letter demands Christie retract 'bat' comment

Two Bergen County lawmakers are asking all 120 New Jersey legislators to condemn Gov. Chris Christie's suggestion that the media "take the bat out" on a 76-year-old state senator who criticized him.
  • 10:54 AM, Apr. 15, 2011
  • Christie was pissed when a teacher was playing around in Bergen County on the net and he demanded that the person resign or get fired. I guess he's allowed to make negative comments about taking a crack with a bat at someone. I luv it. She's only a 76 year old female. Bully anyone. Oh he signed that bill last month, I guess it doesn't apply to him.

Yes, this is what we want all 120 New Jersey legislators to focus on, since there is nothing of real substance that needs attention in this state.

And people think he is presidential material. He sounds like a drunk in a dirty bar.

You are getting boring with your anti Christie comments. Tell the whole story about what he said and, more importantly, what Democratic State Senator Loretta Weinberg is doing with her pension double-dipping. But of course you don't mention that.

Poor choice of words on Christie's part.

However, the point that he was trying to make is a good one.

I think I'd have nicer feelings towards a drunk in a dirty bar...

That's my point. He tells other peoiple not to do things and wants them fired but he thinks it doesn't apply to him in any shape or form. Then he assembles the press for his signing of the Anti bullying bill. He's the biggest bully politician that I have seen in my life. I guess he doesn't have any mirrors in his house.

Didn't read the article but we shouldn't have 76 year old senators.

He surrounds himself with double dippers. I guess no one else out of 300 million americans could fill the post. And he is one of his closest advisors. Give me a break. The savior surrounding himself with a 3 hour a day 220K secretary who has a brand new crown vic to take home at night.
Weinberg was referring to Lou Goetting, who is paid $130,000 a year as Christie’s Cabinet secretary in addition to about $87,000 in annual pension payments after retiring from state government.
How about surrounding yourself without someone who has thier hand in the cookie jar. It may change my( some of our) views that your serious about reform. Politics as usual. Shared sacrifice(taxpayer money) with his own flunkies.

I don't care how much money he makes. He is worth it. Anyone strong enough to beat down the selfish, collectivist, socialist unions is fine by me. I think we should triple his salary.
