Have read the postings on Pahrump and found them to be very interesting. We purchased a lot a number of years ago on Cobalt Lane near the point of where it intersects with Faust Place. Our intent was to eventually build there upon retirement and it has been a number of years since we have been to Pahrump. We know that it is growing and has a good reputation for being a nice place to live. Can anyone out there that is familiar with Pahrump (possibly who may live there) advise us as to what is happening/going on in the area of where our lot is - i.e. is it getting built up, any developements planned, commercial undertakings, etc.? Any info would be greatly appreciated - mod cut: email addy removed Many thanks!

Smile Pahrump transit?

The people are mostly friendly though.
Pahrump being rural, there probably isn't a city bus transit system is there? I drive. But, like the option of public transportation if I need it. Does anyone know?

No public transport here, its cabs or your car.

There was a bus that ran into Vegas daily for a while.. but it did not have the correct permits and has yet to acquire them.. so its not running.

Talking What are current businesses in Pahrump?

I've been reading the post, and wanted to know..... What are the current businesses in Pahrump? Someone mentioned a Wal-Mart. Is the Home Depot completed? What fast food restaurants are there? Supermarkets? What type of casinos are there? Hotels/motels? Parks? Gas stations? Current price of gas?

Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

Home Depot is done, Its so nice to have it in town.

We have McDs, Burger king, sonic, and all the other fast food places.. lol and they are probably more healthy for you than the buffet "food" in town.. but heck... I eat at home anyway.

Lots of new business has moved here since I moved here about 6 years ago.

Wife and I work our own business, so we dont get out much.. thank god for high speed internet and 800 numbers.. lol

Jimdogg, there's 3 main choices for grocery shopping: Smiths, Albertsons, and Walmart are the big grocery stores.
