Someone more familiar with the area will have to answer that.

Coles,

Papillion is original. It used to be a separate independent town that has merged with Omaha. And, no, it was a planned historical town...its been around as long as Omaha. It still maintains a degree of independence and its own flavor though.

Papillion is consistently ranked as a top community to live. In fact, just recently it was ranked in the top ten (I think...don't quote me on the exact ranking) best cities to live in the U.S. I know there is a thread on here about it...I think it was "money magazine" that did the ranking.

At any rate, nice place.

I thought Papillion was an independent city, not an area of Omaha??

It is its own city. But it has merged with the southern edge of Omaha. So when you're driving from Omaha to Papillion you don't necessarily notice much of a change. Omaha bleeds into Ralston, Ralston bleeds in to La Vista, and La Vista bleeds into Papillion. There definitely isn't a disconnect. When I said "independent" I meant like a free standing separate city that was disconnected geographically from Omaha. At any rate, it is still its own city with its own government and etc.

That doesn't make you a troll. What makes you a troll is the fact that you consistently change every conversation into a bigoted discussion about illegal immigration, homosexuals with aids, muslims, militant liberals, or any other group or idea you don't understand.

Trolls are a nomadic tribe out of Mexico. They practice Islam, are all Gay, and wear "Hillary in 08" shirts... and they're all out to getcha.

They break into your house, tie you up, and force you to eat hummus and pita bread while watching old episodes of the George Lopez show and the Dancing with the Stars episodes featuring Leila Ali. To add insult to injury, they rearrange all your furniture.

If you complain, they give you highlights and force you to say "Fabulous!" in Spanish and Arabic.

And they're ALL OVER Grand Island... which they found using a map developed by liberal college professors that actually contains Grand Island.

I apologize to matt, nurse, lois, chris, etc. for my immaturity moment.

You probably won't find Papillion on anyone's 'worst' list !
Growing upscale 'suburb' of Omaha. Has an older area of downtown,
the newer sub's have bigger lots, etc.
Papillion rated #6 last year Money Magazine best cities to live.

Best Places to Live: Top 100 - Papillion, Neb. (6) - Money Magazine
