My husband and I are lookig to relocate this summer, and we have no clue as to what area in Tn to move to. We are looking to go near Nashville, but since we have kids we're lookig for a smaller area. We're looking for awesome schools and affordable homes, any info at this point will help. We will be seeking employment as well....HELP!!!

What kind of population do you mean by "smaller area" and what price range is affordable to you? This will help us to recommend areas for you.

Where we live now there's roughly 30-40,000 people, and we're looking to stay in that range or atleast under 100,000. This will be our first home purchase so around $75-$150.00. I've looked at several homes online and read about schools, but have no clue about nice and safe areas there.

You should probably look near this new $50million$ high school that is opening in August.

North side - Hendersonville/Goodlettsville
East side - Mt. Juliet near Providence/I-40
South side - More expensive but Brentwood/Franklin
West side - Admittedly not familiar with it. Other than Bellevue I don't know much.

All of these are good places to look. The South side of Nashville (Williamson County) has the more expensive areas but bargains can be found.

Mt. Juliet in Wilson County is growing but isn't quite at the same level as some other suburban areas in terms of size. Affordability, probably. But I grew up there so I'm a bit biased. The Providence area is booming quite nicely.

Hendersonville sort of reminds me of a slightly bigger version of Mt Juliet to be quite honest.

All are fairly good options, depending on your budget and preferences. IMO.
