I am changing from a regular health plan to an HMO, I haven't been to a doctor in years so saving the money makes sense for me. I've never had to choose a primary care doctor, and have never been to any Nashville doctor.

Just remember that those ratings are put in by their patients whose criteria for what is a 'good' physician maybe different than yours. Take it with a grain of salt, and ask your co-workers, also.

My wife and I, and our cousins go to Dr. Tammy Booker at Heritage Medical Associates - right next door to Baptist. She is great. And all the lab people are in the same building so you can get your blood work, x-rays, etc. all in the same building. If you have a serious problem the hospital is right next door. My wife has also been to the Baptist Sports Medicine for a knee injury and they are fantastic as well.
