First, a little disclaimer...we're not looking to "make it big." We just want to have some fun, play some good music, inspire some smiles, and make some toes tap.
Now, on with the message:

My band is looking to play, pretty much anywhere in or around Nashville. Coffee shops, clubs, private parties, etc. We have played several venues around Cookeville, but are looking to branch out a bit. Getting paid would always be nice, but is not necessarily a requirement. The band is mostly from Cookeville, but I am a here in Nashville. That said, a long set (1+ hours) is pretty much a must. It just doesn't make any sense to drive an hour, set up, and then play for 15 mins.

We have 4 members ranging in age from 25~40, so a 21+ only venue is not an issue. We're also not your run-of-the-mill garage band. We have decades of musical experience between us.

We play 95% original material, in a nice blend of genres ranging from blues to rock, folk rock/pop, country, and even a couple of jazz-inspired tunes. We also play cover songs. You can always direct message me if you would like more info on the band.

This is music city...so how bout some more original tunes? If you know anyone who can help us out, please let me know.

Thanks!

Does your band have a myspace music page? If not I'd look into getting one & network with music venues & bars through that.

We don't have a myspace music page, but we do have a facebook band page. I may look into creating a myspace page as well, although I'm not a huge myspace fan.

Thanks for the ideas. Any more would be welcome!

These places look like fun! We're looking for places to check out and we enjoy music of all varieties. And now I can lure my adult children down here with more ammo!

Thanks again for the suggestions, yank!
We're playing at Windows off the Cumberland on April 9th if anyone wants to come check us out. You'll like what you hear, I guarantee it! Ok, that sounded a little too much like a men's wearhouse ad.

I am in a folk band and am looking for places to play around Cookeville...what are some good venues around there? As for Nashville, you should try booking something at "cafe coco" or "the end" both are fair venues for what you do I think.
