I'm wandering around in my mind about where to move to and so far have narrowed down:

1) Lynchburg or Roanoke, VA
2) Chattanooga, TN

Any comments about Clarksville?

Clarksville is the best kept secret - a thriving City that is commuting distance to Nashville. Also convenient to Land Between the Lakes. Low taxes (property) which is why many who work in the Nashville area choose to call Clarksville Home. Schools are among the best in TN.

What else would you like to know? Let me have it!

What made you narrow your list to these 3 cities? The reason would help in a vote for one or the other.

Are there mountains nearby? Can you see them from the city? Thanks!

I'm a Christian, conservative, caucasian. Looking for like-minded folks. Clarksville, TN touches my heart because I was conceived at Fort Campbell, KY. (Bit of sentimentality on my part...).

Also, my sister and I are not WEALTHY so we need a fairly moderate priced cost of living. Oh...and we're both "boomers."

Thanks for helping!!

Sadly, no mountains in these parts - just some rolling hills. For mountains, you need to go further East.

My sister, her kids and husband lives in Clarksville, beautiful place. Driving distance to her work at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. I visited the place three times. Love downtown Clarksville, especially the architecture, murals and beautiful Montgomery County court house. Beautiful campus of APSU and the historical Cumberland river. Hope to visit again.

Clarksville has a beautiful river front park. Actuly, they have alot of things in Clarksville. Plus it helps that the people seem to be nice.
