My wife and I will be moving cross-country in a week, and will be staying in Nashville the 2nd night. We LOVE breakfast restaurants, and would like to eat at a local diner (or breakfast place that you would recommend). Ok, locals, GO!

I saw Pancake Pantry in my searches, but it looks like a chain. Am I incorrect? We're not opposed to chains, but looking for mom & pop places if possible.

It's not a chain. It's one location, and it's pretty dang popular. The line for seating wraps around the building on weekends. I've heard NHL hockey players eat there on occasion. I'd imagine Titans players do too.

Ahh wasn't even aware of a second location. Doesn't count as a "chain" though, IMO.

I love breakfast places, and I'm voting for the Pancake Pantry too. It's an awesome place to eat.

I'm going to guess coming from California, a Cracker Barrell will suit you fine & help get you out of rush hour traffic. With several locations near the Interstate, one should be convenient for you.

Now THAT'S a chain (Cracker Barrel). Not bad though if you've never been to one.

No, coming from New England. We have a cracker barrel about a mile from us here. Sounds like Pancake Pantry seems to be the all-around favorite. Thanks everyone!
