I will be attending grad school in the fall. For the last few hours I have searched the web looking for concise info on affordable apartments in safe neighborhoods around the TSU/ Vandy area. Now all I am is more overwhelmed than ever lol. My budget is no more than $600. Names of specific areas/complexes to avoid as well as to search in would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

You should probably be looking for a roommate situation. Safe and near Vandy will be very hard to find for $600/month.

Hi, I was a grad student a TSU and graduated 2 years ago. You probably do not want to live around TSU, that neighbourhood is not the greatest in the world.

I lived in Hillsboro Village (Vandy Area), and like the poster above me stated you are not going to find an apartment in that area for 600/mo. without a roommate. I had a two bedroom basement apartment in a house on 18th ave for $985/mo, with utilities and a roommate it was about 650 ish a month.
