I am moving to Nashville and looking to rent/buy at Park at Melrose. I have heard some mixed reviews about the area. I am a single female and concerned about safety/crime. Is this a safe area? Any real concerns? Thanks in advance for your info!

The area around the complex is probably a different discussion than the largely enclosed community itself. A few homeowner clients of mine live there and absolutely love the location and amenities. On the buy side of things, the Park at Melrose condos have always seemed to be a solid value compared to the competition because of how new they are relative to other condos around Vanderbilt, all that is offered in the community (pool, rec room, work out facilities, community events), and the location being a ‘car ride’ rather than ‘walking’ to campus means they can be significantly less expensive.

When searching online, you might look for those units that have a ground level entry but are actually on a second floor (with windows / balconies elevated above the street level).
