ProgShred are you just looking for songs about school shootings or other events also?

Hurricane ~ Bob Dylan would seem to fit the bill also if that is the case?
It definitely does Moonshadow, good call. A movie was made of Carter's life, and it showed Bob Dylan's involvement. That song came out in Nov. of 1974, off Blood on the tracks, about the similar time frame the appeals, and the eventual re-trial came down. Great song, great movie!

When they asked her why she did it, she replied, "I Don't Like Mondays."

I can think of a few more songs, but I'll wait and see if someone else names them off.
Oh an I remember it well. And oh what a great song that is too. She said she dont like Mondays and wanted to shoot the whole day down. The little girl was the daughter of a pig Sergant if I remember right. She just took his gun. I wonder what the outcome of that. I bet she never got prison.

My favorite real life event is when in 1991 my girl Reba took a seperate plane to the next gig while the band and managers took another. That plane crashed killing everyone on board. She was supposed to be on that plane. Thank the stars she was not because I love her music so dearly, it changed me for sure.

She was devastated for a whole year before breaking open the charts with this tear jerker which was dedicated to all her lost friends who died on that plane. Her next album "For my broken heart" was also dedicated to those lost. It's hard to keep a dry eye on this one.
