so we rely upon them to deliver messages.

Others use the lyrics or music of a song to try to share thoughts or feelings~

A message in a bottle always leaves one wondering about the one who penned the words ~ ~ and for whom~ ~ ~, unless
the one who received the bottle was the inteded one to read the words.

But, how much was lost in translation........

Oh, if others knew some of how many other people shared similar feelings/thoughts but were
too timid to either put a message in a bottle, or say a message at all?

Maybe some actions would be different, maybe not~ ~ ~

A lot to think about if one wants to.

Thanks for sharing this one with us, aardvarks.

Post Thinking..............

[quote=Gerania;9217385]...I carried it with me for years, my small treasure. I recognized its value the moment that I encountered it - I looked, looked again, enjoyed and savored it, knew it a rare find - though I am not a collector, no dusty, cluttered curios for me. But this was different...knew that it would be with me even if I chose not to hold it near.

I placed my tiny treasure in the finest box made of the finest material. I could carry it with me everywhere, and I did. At first, I reached for it often, checking to be sure that my treasure was safe. As time went on, I reached for it far less often, but always knew that it was safe, for it was always with me.

Years passed and at some point I no longer felt the need to carry the small box with me... I had changed, those around me had changed, priorities shifted; this treasure held a little less value for me. I put it away (in a safe place) and, once in a while, ceremoniously, I took the fine box from its hiding place, would slowly, cautiously, open it and look inside. I made sure that I was alone, would not be disturbed during this ritual.

One day (after many years of neglect) I was saddened to see that my treasure had aged, dried, crumbled, though I'd kept it in the fine box...

...being quite irreverent..sorry MMC and other long time residents of the forum, I can't decide.

What, to you, represents something of value lost? QUOTE]

Hi Gerania,

I don't think we've met before.

What a lovely piece to add to this thread.

No irreverence do I feel or see from what you written. No, something quite different.

I thank you for adding your thoughts and asking us to think.

I'm sure there are many answers for each person to your question,
"What, to you, represents something of value lost?"

For me, the answer is: something that can no longer be.

Waves frantically to everyone in the room while yelling for my son to put on his shoes before we're late...so much going on in the real world...wishing I could stay and play (although I'm not jumping off nann nother cliff) looks for the song - now what was I about to post? I heard it while I was in the shower this morning and it brought back memories of when I was younger - so in love but my love was only reciprocated when he was bored or lonely. Foolish boy - if he knew how fabulous I was going to be he would have returned more of my calls lol anyway here's a song from the soundtrack of my life

Question I'm Confused. Please explain more Cellie~

Cellie wrote, "~carries a beautiful bouquet for the lovely
lady Natalay...

...how grateful I am for such a wonderful
woman who loves Mr. MMC and fills Him
with laughter and sweet joy!

my dear lady, thank ye deeply for the joy
and love given to our Dear Mr. MMC, such
burdens He carries and only Heaven at this
time knows the gift of what thee truly
brings Him

There will be naysayers... yet will they
step forward to give joy, laughter,
loving comfort in sharing with Him?
Isn't it funny how one can so easily
wish to take away what one is not
willing to then replace... so please
accept my gift...

...thank thee so much, for any gift
of laughter and joy that serves Sir
serves me also... "

Cellie,

I am confused and would appreciate you clarifying what you wrote.

"There will be naysayers... yet will they
step forward to give joy, laughter,
loving comfort in sharing with Him?
Isn't it funny how one can so easily
wish to take away what one is not
willing to then replace... so please
accept my gift...

It is odd how no one seems to ask for clarification on this thread like others do on other forums and threads. Do you have ideas of why no one does? Is it easier just to assume, pre-conceived ideas, or other? I am puzzled how this never happens here (or hasn't the last 2-3 months). Your thoughts and those of others will be welcome so I understand better.

I'm uncomfortable with your words, "my dear lady, thank ye deeply for the joy and love given to our Dear Mr. MMC, such
burdens He carries and only Heaven at this
time knows the gift of what thee truly
brings Him
."

"such burdens He carries," sounds like information that has been shared privately with you. I have no problem with information being shared privately, but doesn't private imply others won't be told? If that information was posted earlier, please direct me to the post as I missed it.
Now that information has been shared with the rest of us, I for one have to decide what additional burdens or subjects MMC is able to read currently.

Mostly, I am puzzled why MMC wouldn't tell those who post here in the last two months, in his posts about his burdens, if he wanted us to know.

MMC, would you care to comment on that, or do you want Cellie to answer?

Also, with the words, "such burdens He carries," there is an implied meaning no one else who posts on this thread is dealing with very serious issues, and that simply is not true. Are you saying MMC's burdens are greater than those of any other?

As a community, it matters that we know. As a community, it is important that others struggling with major life changes also feel their sorrows, hurts, fears and other feelings/thoughts they have are heard equally as what troubles MMC so much currently.

It also matters as a community that we select music to play, from what we enjoy, but doesn't make matters worse for MMC. Certain music may make his burden worse, which I don't believe is the wish of anyone who posts in this thread. I've seen many examples of those trying to help others who post here.

Perhaps it is too much to assume MMC will continue to welcome new members here and comment on posts from other members. Perhaps as a community we should discuss who is willing to step forward and help him so he no longer feels that burden.

Finally, thank you in advance for explaining the full meaning of your previous post. Until then, much like MMC is opting to do recently with most, it is probably best to not request him to answer more, except what is asked above. One song that speaks to that subject is the Sound of Silence.

YouTube - Sound Of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel (live sound)

I do hope the "Sound of Silence," allows MMC to heal or approach his burdens in an easier manner. One could be fooled so easily looking at some of his posts how he buries what is so troubling to him.

The well being of the community, until apparently now, has been one of your stated goals, MMC. That is a huge responsibility. Hopefully, this music will bring peace, joy, healing and whatever else you need for your soul.

Looking forward to your answers, Cellie, so I can understand more fully the meaning of your comments. I do know I'm not alone, but for now I will speak only for me.

Enjoy the beauty of the evening ~ ~ ~
