I was in my car this morning and Funkdiafied by Da Brat came on. Man that took me back, way back in time when I used to wear “dookie braids” and jelly shoes. Back to skating with boys at the skating rink and trying to convince my mama to buy me some daisy dukes. Back to when I used to roll with a gang of girls on pink and purple ten speeds. Back to when I mixed tapes were actually on tapes: D Back to when your whole album had to be good because the fast forward button on my tape player was broken so I had to flip the tape over and rewind it, if didn’t like a song. Back to walking to the candy lady to get a lilly dilly (frozen kool-aid in a lil plastic cup) and a pickled egg.
Anyway, I saw there was another thread about songs that take you back, but most of those songs were from before I was born: D so I wanted to do one for hip-hop/rap. So everybody post a song that takes you back BUT it has to be a song that was out during the 90’s (only cause I was born in the 80’s and won’t know the songs unless they’re classics)
This might be a little to old 4 me. Im a 90's baby =( But i remember watchin mighty morphin power rangers with my red power ranger costume on eating frosted flakes!

Oh man I had one of these moments when they played Ieasha by ABC on the radio about a month ago. It took me straight back to cross colors and high top sneakers. Do you remember the LA Gear that lit up when you walked? LOL I think another song that takes me back is I wish I was little bit taller i can't remember who it was by though
i remember my first kiss was at the bowling alley and they were playing a heavy d song i wanna say it was now that we found love but i'm not 100% sure
the 90's was when music was just fun and about dancing and chilling with your friends isntead of getting laid or fighting
Enjoy! It didn't matter if you was east coast, west coast, north, south, midwest. You could be gangsta, conscious, and party. We embraced it ALL. The 90s was too FLY!

Yeah guys were different in the 90's. I remember being madly in love with my older brother's best friend. He was one of those way too serious black guys, almost militant but would act like a little kid when they were playing Mike Tyson's knock out I loved to see him smile.
I found these channel on my digital cable that plays "90's pop". They played Funky Cold Medina and I just about died laughing. Not every song from the 90's was great
