Also, I don't really consider Kanye a rapper, he is more of an entertainer who talk/sings in his songs.
No, KRS is not like a group at all! You can call BDP a "group" but KRS did like 99% of the rapping on BDP releases.
I used to love BDP. I even bought a solo D-Nice album (Crumbs On The Table) and I loved it.
