I typically don't like musicals, but there are a few I exception to.
This one is a forgotten jewel from the early-60's, "The Flower Drum Song", filmed in San Francisco's Chinatown, with an all-Asian cast. Score by Rogers and Hammerstein. Great cast, beautiful people, some dang good dance routines, and it's actually a comedy. Features Myoshi Umeki, James Shigeta, and the beautiful Nancy Kwan. I recommend it. If anyone rents it (Netflix has it), see if you can recognize "Hop-Sing" from Bonanza
