2012 - Official Movie Site

YouTube - '2012' Trailer HD

Anybody seen the trailer for this movie??

I found this...

why 2012?
The Long Count Calendar of the Ancient Mayans ends on Dec 21 2012. There isn't much information regarding what the Mayans thought would occur in 2012, but the consensus of opinion is that there will be great change. To some people this means a positive, spiritual change. Others, like myself, consider that a catastrophic event may have been predicted.

Here we go again?? Y2K anyone??

Emmerich movies are the epitome of quantity over quality. They spend millions on special effects. Plot, character, dialogue ... their sole purpose is to set up the next special effect.

I have to admit a guilty pleasure for the Godzilla remake, simply because giant monsters are cool. And Eight Legged Freaks was campy fun. But other than that, I find all of Emmerich's movies unwatchable.
