Yup, ditto here! Went to see The Informant last week (good movie)-they showed the trailer on 2112.

To some people this means a positive, spiritual change. Others, like myself, consider that a catastrophic event may have been predicted.
Yeah, like "Planet X" was supposed to destroy the Earth in 2002.

why are you getting upset?

you have taste for **** when it comes to movies.

and this movie was made for you and people like you. it was not made for me.

this movie is directed by the same guy that did Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow. both those movies were shyte.

you are ammused and entertained by computer generated images of "great calamities" taking place to the extent that you are willing to overlook incoherent, implausible story telling and implausible, one dimentional characters. i am not. you are not concerned by the simple fact that any and all plot or character development or dialogue (as it was perfectly put by Mark S. earlier) is for no other purpose than to set up the next volley of computer generated special effects.

ya know what disaster movie i liked? Deep Impact. that movie at least had a human story to tell.

Armagedon: shyte
Independence Day: shyte
The Day After Tomorrow: shyte
and i guarantee that this movie will be shyte. sometimes, a movie trailer fails to do the actual movie justice. but this trailer left no margin for error. only a shyte movie made for friggin' lemmings would have scenes such as those shown in the trailer.

fact is, you like these crap movies. good for you. you are not alone. i dont like them. good for me.

this all may sound mean and judgemental, but it is also very, very true.

if you dont like it. well...to bad. it's still true. nothin's gonna change that.

Yeah, why would someone take it personally when you say they have **** for taste. Using your mindset, why were you upset when I said to go screw if you don't like it?

I had some interest in this, but then saw this little scene from the film. Looks so ridiculous I've lost all interest.

The movie looks like it might go to DVD quickly. People have enough doom & gloom to deal with of late. Uplifting movies seem to be doing well. As far as Dec 2012 being the end...Don't max out those credit cards just yet...I think we will all wake up to just another day like Y2K and like the Planet X hype on multiple sites stating we were doomed in 2002. Enjoy Life today for no one can predict what tomorrow brings!
