At around 10 minutes into Saw III I officially wrote off the series. Haven't seen even a smidgeon of anything since. Stick a fork in it, it's done.
Yeah I supported the first 3. They were all really good. But then they took a turn and now they just plain suck. "I wanna play a game"...yeah, so do I, a game called stop dragging out these crappy psychological thriller sequals!

I usually like cheesy horror movies like Darkness Falls or Boogeyman but I thought Prom Night was dreadful - what a snoozefest! I think the Evil Dead movies are hysterical and I liked most of the Alien movies (I, II, IV, AvP), The Uninvited had some interesting twists and I liked The Changeling (1980) a lot.

I found The Ring to be hugely disappointing.

Have since re-read the book, but will not see the movie again especially since someone mentioned it has scenes cut from the original because they were too distubing? Spider walking down the staircase? No thanks. Just imagining it brings back too many memories of sitting through the original.

Three Dog Night said it best...

I've seen so many things I aint' never seen before
Don't know what it is, but I don't wanna see no more
The wierd thing about the 'spider walk'...is How did they do that, back then, without special effects?

I slowed that scene down...and it makes no sense...what technology did they use back then to do that? Before computer graphics....

I watched Alien vs Preditor last night...again....

Here are some thoughts I have about it...

1.The Preditors are way to Arogant, and over confident...that's why those first two died so fast...and the third got injected with the alien seed.

2. They border line reckless in their approach...as if death is no big deal to them. There's things those preditors could of done to be better prepared to deal with the aliens...

3. The alien creatures, in real life, could not survive if indeed their blood is made of acid...for the acid blood would kill any and all nutrients in their bloodstream to sustain them....that acid for blood thing just would not cut it in real life...

4. They have no muscles...they're practically skeletons (the aliens) so where do they get their strenth from?

5. They killed off the preditors two quickly...I wanted to see longer extended battles between the aliens and preditors...they could of left the humans out of it as far as I'm concerned...
If they had just showed the Preditors battling the Aliens throughout the whole film....I would have been satisfied.

6. That queen alien was just full of blind rage...

7. the gestation period for the aliens is like 1 hour...they went from eggs to full adults in like 30 minutes...wow...

8. The Preditor creatures seemed pretty realistic...I wonder how they would fare in the Star Wars Universe?

9. How could such Primitave aliens, who like to fight and hunt, be so much more technologically advanced than humans?
I mean I just can't see them sitting down and working out advanced physics....

10. I found the tour guide lady to be somewhat arrogant...

I saw Trick 'r Treat back on Halloween. I liked it a lot. I'd recommend it to anybody. Of course, it's much more fun to watch in October, but still worth the watch any time of year.

I'm beggining to think there are no more...(maybe one out of 10)

I just watched 'Cabin Fever 2'...what was I thinking...silly me...I actually thought it would have a plot, actors that could act, a decent theme, some kind of moral lesson, and characters worth following and careing for...wrong, not.

Instead it was just another slasher up film, just for slasher up sakes...

It's like these movies are just trying to out do each other on some 'who can gross the audience out more scale'...

A new catogory of film genre needs to be created 'slasher'....

To me a horror film scares you...slasher films don't scare me..they gross me out...
What is wrong with these directors or writers or producers?
Have they not studied film making while in school? Did they not study the classics, what works and what doesn't work?

All these slasher movies feel like their done by first time film makers...and it feels like they just randomnly pick people off the streets to act in their movies...

I think 'thriller' or 'suspence' movies are actually more scary then these new 'slasher' films...
Oh where have the effective true horror writers and directors gone too?

I really liked Descent. Watched part 2 last night. Was much better than I thought it would be.

It's a horror/thriller. Very good. Seen it about 5 or 10 times.

I like Rob Zombie's movies. Especially his vision of Halloween. And I don't care what anybody says... I really enjoy the creepiness of inbreeding with "The Hills Have Eyes". 1 AND 2.

Can't believe I forgot about Jeepers. I lived in Ocala FL. which is just a few miles from that old church in the movie. Rumor has it, it was torn down because too many people, once they found out, were using it as a hang-out. GOOD freaky movie. I even liked part 2. Waiting on the third one still.
