This finally made it to the top of my netflix queue and it was GREAT. Robert Carlyle ("The Full Monty") and Kiefer Sutherland as POWs building the "Railway Of Death" between Thailand and Burma. Much better than "Bridge/Kwai".

See it.

It came in the mail last week, but I've been working my way through all of the Upstairs Downstairs episodes.
Maybe I'll take a break from that stuff.

I did take a break, and I watched it.
Parts of it were really difficult for me to watch, and other aspects were hard to believe, though I know this was a true story.
I had to sort of work through it, and really let the message sink in.
Why is this film not better known?
Well, I noticed it was made in 2001.
It is a film about forgiveness, but perhaps some of us were not looking towards reconciliation back then.
Thank you, Golfgod, for the headsup.
