Who would you say is the Female version of Johnny Depp. Do you know what i mean? His way about him, his multiple personalities he can take on, his depth, his darkness & his charm. The female version of that is who should play Lizzie Borden. I'm just not sure who that Female actress is. Thoughts??
Ann Coulter!
Just picture her fire eyes, hair flying in all directions, lecherous grin, and wild, delightful shrieks as she runs around with a bloodied axe.
This story is actually very deep & involved. Rich, Dynamic, Complicated, & VERY CHILLING. An emotional true story. It is worthy of a big time budget, director, producer & cast. A Director/Producer with depth & and the ability to display on the big screen, the full richness of this gripping legend.
Lizzie was 32 when the murders took place in 1892. The house still stands. Travel Channel listed it as the #1 "Scariest Place On Planet Earth". It would be awesome to see the 1890's come alive on the big screen in such a dark, chilling scenario. The mood & feel would be intense.
I consider Nicole Kidman a very capable actress.
I haven't enjoyed every single movie she's made, but I've always admired her range, her versatility.
I'm old enough to remember the Elizabeth Montgomery adaptation.
I've always thought it was a fascinating story.
I agree that it is a complex tale--maybe an HBO mini-series would be even better than a two hour movie.
Both Nicole and Charlize would be good but they are both far too pretty. Have you seen the pics of Lizzie Borden? She was decidedly dumpy. So unless Charlize gains another 30lbs . . .
I think Janeane Garofalo might be good for that part. I'm not sure what kind of depth she would have but she's kind of wacky and she did a fairly good job on "24" this last season. Kathy Bates would defintely be a good choice, she's a terrific actor. She was really spooky in "Misery"
