Okay I went with my coworkers to see the 12:30 am showing, I won't say much about the movie until others have seen it but I'll give it a 7/10.

My main problems were the tried too hard to make it funny, the first one the laughs just came naturally - in this one it seemed like they had some slapstick comedians writing scenes. If you don't like half the movie to be drowned out by really really loud, long laughter I wouldn't go see it until next week. There were some really funny parts, though but not slap your knee choke on your soda guffaw funny.

The other problem was they interrupted the action for side story plots - I hate that. When the fight is going on, I just wanna see the fight. This was my main issue with the Mummy 2 - the love story took over the movie.

My last issue (and it's such a girly issue but it annoyed me) they kept showing Megan Fox in slowmo and focusing on her lips like it was a porno. AND despite all the crap that was going on her hair and makeup was perfect through the whole movie...like she was stopping in the middle of the war to reapply her lip gloss. IMO her sex appeal was overdone in this movie, I was like "ok, I get it she's hot - can we get back to the movie!"

But it was still a great film.

Oh and the previews rocked! M. Night Shaylman (sp) has made a movie about the Avatar. I hate his other movies but I love this cartoon so I'm going to see it. Also the Harry Potter preview looked awesome on the big screen! I'll come back after others have seen the movie.

Nata, try penny-arcade (.com) today. They had a cartoon about Avatar...

As for this one, whats-his-face was going on about it (the lead actor) saying how it is the "Big 4th of July event" etc etc. I wanted to smack him. The kid is getting WAY too full of himself.

The movie LOOKS ok, but after the first, I am not expecting much besides some impossible physics (sorry, but some things like that bother me), robots that you can't tell what is going on because of all the gears and doo-dads the CGI people put in to impress you, lame attempts at humor for the 12 year old crowd (like in T1 where they "hid" when OMG daddy and Mommy came out and almost SAW them!!!! ).

I guess that's about it. Besides he facyt we now have a baby and can't really go OUT, AND the $$$$ of flix... I think we might just wait on this one.....

BTW, saw Babylon A.D. on one of the movie channels the other night? Kind of silly/dopey. Only worth watching if you have nothing else to do and like explosions and stuff.

Yeah the CGI was kinda overboard in this one. I didn't really follow the original series but on the first one I loved watching them transform. In this one it was so much going on you couldn't really see it all. Tyrese really didn't need to be in this one - he didn't really do anything except throw out some snappy one-liners.

It was "meh". The CGI was great. Some of the speech/accents were really getting on my nerves. While the sound effects were good, I think it could have benefitted from a better quality. I want to feel the "boom". Terminator Salvation did a great job of this. The plot was flimsy. And ok, I get that Megan Fox is hot, but her collagen-filled, bright pink lipgloss was really distracting. I think the first Transformers was better.

Thank you! I'm so glad I wasn't the only person who was annoyed by this especially in the final fight scene. I didn't like the CGI in this one as much as I did with the first one. There were so many parts I felt like I couldn't see everything, but yeah this one would be added to my list of sequels that was watchable but I could have done without it.

I enjoyed it. Overall, fairly good movie. Only thing that really bothered me was the comedy seemed to be rehashed lines from the first movie.
