I was the biggest fan of the cartoon but the film sucked

Must be, I liked both of them. You say you were a fan of the cartoon, might I ask which version? The newer ones changed quite a bit from the originals. I went in really expecting nothing much more than a childish story about honor, duty, etc. and big battle scenes. I was not disappointed.

This isn't Citizen Kane, to be sure.

The original cartoons waaay back in the 80's. They had a movie (cartoon) back then too that was the sh&t!

The movie just did not appeal to me, maybe I'm too old (30's) lol. I'll have to see it again maybe next time I'll enjoy it. It seemed to me it was aimed at younger audience jr high school.

There have been movies that were basicly childrens movies that adults could also relate and enjoy but this movie just didn't do it for me I could be wrong though.
