Clouds of Sils Maria. Very slow moving. I actually didn't get to finish it (this was my second attempt).

"God's Pocket" PSH 's last movie. Excellent character development, blue-collar America neighborhood. Realistic.

District 9 (2009)

Not a bad film; just a bit meandering & uneven in places

Good acting performances, and great cgi too

Criminal
Thoroughly enjoyed it
Costner very believable being very violent
Ryan Reynolds in small role--replay of the part w/Denzel Washington
Some of it funny--Tommy Lee Jones good straight man
Gary Oldman not very smart to be CIA section chief
Meme of Frankenstein's monster with the innocent little girl
Alice Eve--not much of part

The Giant of Marathon (1959) - IMDb

Pleasant enough escapism even if the transfer to digital isn't that great.

I just watched American Beauty on Netfix. I am a little confused. Who killed the dad? The wife or the neighbor? The scene with the neighbor covered in blood was too quick for my old brain. Did The Major commit suicide or was that the dad's blood on him? If the wife didn't off him, why did she hide (yeah, good hiding spot) the gun, why did she lament on his clothes and why wasn't she covered in blood?

I didn't even recognize Kevin Spacey!
