It's about a lady who hikes 1700 miles across the Australian desert to the ocean with 3 camels, a calf, and her dog.
How was this movie? I have been wanting to see it.
I just recently watched a movie called Curve. It was a movie about a woman driving from San Fran to Denver and picks up a hitchhiker. It was okay. It dragged a little.
I liked it, it was good. Matt Damon was good. Not sure it was worth all the awards though. Not sure Damon would have been my pick for the Globe or whatever it was he just got.

I had originally wanted to see this film until I read an article about the real-life story, and it put me off.
I originally thought the story would be about an impromptu trip cross-country, where a woman spontaneously decided to pack her bags and travel with no real purpose. Instead, she trained the camels for months in preparation, and there was a journalist/photographer who followed her on the trip, who just happened to be her love interest. What a letdown.
Interesting movie and beautiful soundtrack. I can't speak to the practicality of the science stuff, but the portrayal of earth as they did, had some inconsistencies. I won't say more because I don't want to provide spoilers.
I thought McConaughey was excellent in the title role.

I thought it was quite good. I also loved 'Wild'. I dig these type of movies though.
It's on Netflix.
