Lake Placid 3 on Syfy channel - so BAD it wasn't good LOL
The original Lake Placid wasn't all that bad for the genre but wth were they thinking making these G**awful sequels - rotten acting, lousy dialogue and ludicrous CGI monsters.......
Another oldie. THE HEIRESS with Olivia de Havilind. It was on last nite, Friday evening, glass of wine, home alone, guys out at a football game (would not have been on their must see list for sure). The story of a "homely", slow witted young wealthy women falling for the penniless Montgomery Clift. Her wise father knew his true intentions. Olivia won an oscar.( I would have given it to her just for making me believe that beautiful woman was homely)
I have not seen it in years and really enjoyed it. Highly suggest it to you real buffs on here. Though, you probably have already seen it.
"500 days of Summer". I actually quite enjoyed it. Bitter Sweet comedy with a good script.
I loved this movie! I will never understand why they never did a better job of promoting it. I saw it at an indie theatre...it blipped in and out of the mainstream theatres just like that. A terrific little movie that was never given a chance (in my estimation).
This weekend, I saw Hachi, which (despite having Richard Gere in it) was a pretty tender and likeable movie, and some godawful movie with Brendan Fraser with sociopathic forest animals, Brooke Shields as his not very nice wife, and his mouthy teenager. We picked it up at Redbox for the kids. I want a dollar and two hours of my life back.
