'The Last Valley'..

A film based on the book by James Clavell on the ravages of the 30 Years War in Europe in the early 17th century. A keeper. I don't think there are many films on this period. The war brought great devastation to various European states and caused famine, disease, looting and atrocities against populations. Michael Caine and Omar Sharif star.

I just watched "Phenomenon" (1996) with John Travolta, Kyra Sedgwick and Robert Duvall. I'd seen it before, but never realized how good of a movie it really is. If you've never seen it, it's worth the time.

Kingsmen....a jolly good story until the absolute raunchiness at the end. Parents will be mortified if they take their kids, especially daughters. Bad judgement...that ending.

Escape From Fort Bravo with William Holden, etal. Enjoyed it very much as a youngster. It is always stirring when the Cavalry comes to the rescue.
