Watched Sixteen candles with Molly ringwald. Been 20+ years since I last watched it. Funny to watch long duk dong scenes again.

Watched John Carter. It is ashame the movie didn't take off. I heard it was a decent movie and it was. I hope word of mouth gets around that the movie is good and makes some money off of rentals. Unfortunately I haven't heard of the novels beforehand. Make it point to read up on them. Commentary states they were hoping for a sequal. Doubtfull, but you never know. I can only hope.

Watched inception. Good movie all around. Like the concept and how the multi dream levels were lining up together for the kick. Liked the ending.

My Neighbor Totoro. I liked it, but it's definitely not my favorite Studio Ghibli film. Great artwork though, as usual.

Moonrise Kingdom. The usual Wes Anderson stuff, which can be a very good thing or terrible depending on your taste. In my case, I like it and I'm such a fan of several of his works so I'm definitely biased.

A movie where plastic aspects like colour, music (oh, Benjamin Britten... What an immense pleasure) and "representation" on the whole are every bit as important as the story itself. This may be a turnoff for a lot of people, and I admit that it gives an artificial impression, but the film is very cute, inventine, childlike and sweet.

The Kingdom, starring Jamie Foxx and Chris Cooper. Good movie.

80s classic "Red Dawn" on AMC last night. A movie like that couldn't be made today because it's too violent which would frighten today's overly sensitive children, it's too pro-American which would frighten the anti-American socialists, and the lunatic fringe groups would call it racist because our enemies are no longer white people from Russia but brown people from the middle east and asians from China.

Finally got around to downlo.....errr......watching Denzel's latest movie "Safe House." It was better than I thought it would be. It was kinda predictable, but that's okay. For what it was, I enjoyed it. I think Ryan Reynolds is a pretty good actor.

The Fourth Man.

This is my second time watching this film; I saw it when it first came out in 1983. It's just as great as I remembered.

Pool hall junkies Christopher Walken The movie never even made it to the theater due to copyrights

Just saw "The Descendants", it was good, I liked the indy-feel of it....George Clooney was great, and I really liked the acting/character of the older daughter. Lovely scenery too...Hawaii is beautiful!!

Alien

Amazing movie, especially considering how long ago it came out and where special effects and movie-making were at that time. (And worth the re-watch if you have recently seen Prometheus.)
