A View to a Kill (1985). It's a rewatch. The theme song is the coolest and best in the series. Zorin and May Day are also among the better villains. ★★★☆☆
"Battle in Outer Space" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053388/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
It is what it is. A Japanese sci fi movie of the late 50s with nice model space ships, exploding buildings, ray guns, decent backgrounds, and great teamwork of everyone working together. usually......and no monsters.
I find it interesting that they used X-15s as space fighters; the only other place I ever saw that done was a sci fi comic book against giant fly gorillas. It was probably this but I haven't turned the page to be sure: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EWAGqTUWoAYvvCb.jpg
Anyhow, as I watched, I wondered why we didn't make a fighter out of the X-15 but it hit me......we rather did.
