Pappillion — new version ON Demand tonight
7/10–better than I expected
The original was long enough for an intermission as I recall
This skipped all evidence of his 5 yrs in solitary but still dragged

The Favourite...had no idea there is so much devoted to discussing the ending.
I am big on it getting Best Picture...for so many reasons! All because of the director.
Doesn't the Director decide...music, camera angles...pacing, editing decisions...it was the best.
BUT, there are so many good ones this year.

I just saw LBJ (2016) starring Woody Harrelson, one of the better Presidential biopics thanks to the great acting.
The story could have been told in more detail, but Harrelson made it worth watching, and President Johnson is a great character, 6/10.

BTW I gave The Mule (2014) a grade of 7/10.
