"Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" (2001)

Haven't seen this in a couple of years, but it was nice watching this BluRay version again. Even a 46" TV screen with 7:1 sound doesn't do the film justice compared to the silver screen, but it was still a very entertaining three hours or so. The CGI looks a little dated, but the cinematography is sumptuous, and the music wonderfully immersive.

4/5

We finally got around to watching "Arrival" with Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner. A thought-provoking movie without weird Hollywood cliches or extremes. Amy Adams is wonderful in it.

Also watched "BFG" with Mark Rylance. It is a beautifully made movie and I enjoyed it very much. It was nice to watch two quality movies in a row where the movie writers/directors make thoughtful, cliche-free movies with characters that are interesting and kind.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)

For me, the most horrifying thing about this film was seeing a coroner and his assistant performing full autopsies without wearing face masks.

Watched "The Whole Truth" last night on Amazon streaming
Came out last year and guess went straight to no where--court room drama with young man charged w/murder of his dad played by Jim Belushi in a very strong but brief performance...
Had Keanu Reeves and Rene Zelwigger as the leads
Decent film--he can act--
Also had Gugu (can't spell/pronounce her last name)
She is good actress as well and just beautiful
Figured out both the hooks before the end but still think there could be one underlying the entire plot

Anyone else watch it???
