Brilliant. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. The story of a society in decline as it grows corrupt and top-heavy is a moral that has more relevance now that it did 10 years ago.
One of my favorite movies of all times! And I just happened to watch Blood Father today with Mel Gison starring, and was so happy he seems to be back. He didn't direct that one, but I hear the one coming out this year that he directed is amazing. It's called Hacksaw Ridge, about the real life Medal of Honor winner who was the only conscientious objecter to ever get it. The man was a medic in WWII in a battle in Okinawa.

He may not be the greatest person in real life, but who is perfect? I'm willing to give him another chance since he's a brilliant filmmaker. Other filmmakers have done far worse things and never got blackballed by studios the way Gibson did.

West Side Story will be coming to the Somerville Theatre, in Somerville, MA, as part of a special week-long 70mm film Series Presentation, and I will be attending that screening of WSS with my sister and a friend of mine. I'm kind of agog right now...and looking forward to it! So now I have something to look forward to.
I've heard nothing but good things about Bad Moms. Was it just too vulgar for your tastes, or you didn't think it funny?

Well, it took them long enough to make a sequel. I would say its better than the 1st one but, its difficult to beat any movie with Van Damme in it. Anyways, I wasn't disappointed with Hard Target 2

Tried watching the new Point Break and the new Total Recall. Got about 30 minutes into both before shutting them down. TR was horrible and PB was even more atrocious. Some movies should just be left well alone.

Ended up watching The D Train with Jack Black and James Marsden, and I'm sad to admit it was better than the other two... combined. It's one of those comedies that is crude and unpleasant to watch, but you just can't take your damn eyes off it.

Spoiler
Movie contains an anal sex scene between the two actors

Wild at Heart (1990). It is a rewatch. Not Lynch's best movie, but it has some interesting scenes and characters. Willem Dafoe as Bobby Peru is one of those memorable movie villains.
