Try watching "A Hologram For The King" and see if you can enjoy that Tom Hanks vehicle. Ugh.

High Society... reminds me of being on holiday in the late 50s when I went to see it on a rainy day... loved this film but still not a patch on the original Philadelphia Story with Cary Grant. and Katherine Hepburn... Grace Kellys perfomance was wooden compared to Hepburn..

"To Each His Own" with Olivia de Havilland (who celebrated her 100th birthday July 1 2016).

She won an Oscar for her portrayal of a woman at four different ages in her life. I just read that in order to better portray each age, she wore four different perfumes, one for each age that she was portraying, and she progressively made her voice deeper as the character aged. It worked--she was totally believable whether she was playing the character in her 20s, 30s, 40s or 50s+ (I think she was 29 or so when it was filmed).

The story line was equal parts soap opera and just plain wrong, but wow, she is one fine actress! (And Wally Westmore was one fine makeup artist too.) Plus Edith Head doing the costume designs--how could you go wrong?
