'Towering Inferno' is still #1 for me.

I was raised on Irwin Allen TV shows (Lost in Space, Land of the Giants, Time Tunnel and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea) so I love Poseidon and Inferno (but Poseidon is better).

Yes, I saw Earthquake in Sennsuround -- some good quotes (kinda campy love Ava and Chuck):

Earthquake

The best was Poseidon Adventure for me. We'd go visit our boat in Marina Del Ray when I was a kid and to beat the heat during the days we'd go watch what was playing at the local theatre. Must have seen it 15 times in a row. Gene Hackman rules!

Armageddon. Such an instant classic.

I didn't care much for that movie, but the scenes of the tsunamis were really, really awesome.

There was a really bad B-movie with a less than stellar Tsunami scene; Escape from LA. There was Snake making his getaway while Peter Fonda was riding this tsunami wave on a surf board.

I bet I'm one of only 3 people who would have seen that much less recall it. I'm not even gonna try to youtube it. It was so stupid, it was kind of funny. It's movies like that when you miss burnin' one.

Oh my gosh! I'm wrong. I googled it and it came up right at the top of the stack! I got your Tsunami right
here.

As far as bigger disaster movies go, I pretty much like all of them.
I saw that movie, it was pretty scary. I always thought it was a PBS production because that is where I first saw it. My mom lived in Northern Michigan and that was the only channel with good reception.

Deep Impact
The Day after Tomorrow (makes me re-consider about wanting to live on shore of Lake Huron)
Does Jaws count? He was kind of a natural disaster unto himself.

Have never seen this movie, so watched the clip. Loved the music. Have one word: wipeout!
