Door County Wisc still has one. The thrill is gone for me. Give me my jammies, glass of wine, netflix and a big screen at home. Stop action for bathroom breaks-no skeeters- no noisey carloads of teens around- very clean bathrooms- cheap yet delicious popcorn made just the way I like,,,, Ahhh much better.

Some of us may have been conceived at the drive in.

What's not to like two movies and bring your own pizza.
There are a few outside of Seattle. Good family time.

I miss the one I grew up with in DTW. The one on 14 mile and Gratiot and the one on Van Dyke and 14 mile.

Here's a listing across the US

I went to my first drive in with my parents!

The Mission Tiki in Montclair, CA is still around. Just like the good old days, but now I'm the parent.

Does anyone remember the ads for food between shows. The dancing hotdogs and the popcorn. They were silly but they sure made you hungry.

I think because it has been around 10 years or so that I was at a drive in because the one close to us was like an hour away. I saw Twister that was good to see at the drive in. THe only think with the drive in is that flims that have a lot of darkness it is harder to see them.

Just went to the local one this past Saturday, $10 a carload. We have two single screens, one double screen and a triple screen all within 15 miles or so.

Today's Google doodle celebrates the first drive-in movie theater. Does anybody remember these? Boy, do I miss them! If a drive-in movie theater opened up near me I'd go in a heartbeat. I hope one day drive-ins make a comeback.

Fondly reminiscing about drive-ins, now I can't get the "Let's all go to the lobby!" jingle out of my head.

Well I've never been to one yet.
There isn't one in Dallas, but there is one in Waco. Maybe one day...
