Curiously it has only been with Danial Craig that you got an origin story/reboot and a full character arc. Besides a quick trip to his wife's grave the rest of the movies could be just a mission in any order if Bond where immortal.
Well, no.
Before Bond was a Commander in the Royal Navy, being a 00 was a promotion from other intelligence duties (when 007 loses the Beretta for the PPK, M makes the comment about unless he wanted to return to standard intelligence work), and his former missions were illuminated such as when he is thinking about resigning in OHMSS.......to say nothing of Felix Leiter.
In Casino Royale, he is promoted directly out of the SAS to a 00 and he is behaving like a kid in the candy store. If this is the experienced agent he is suppose to be, why is he blowing up an embassy?
They totally took the Bond people had known for about 4 decades and tossed it completely out the window. It might as well been someone else who worked for CII. That is,
"We don't knowand we don't want to know... ...how you managed to precipitateall three climbers from the mountain. We assume that, unable to discover your target... ...you decided to take all three. Extravagant but effective. And you have always been both."
Remember.......Bond is suppose to be a secret agent. Connery yes, Lazenby yes, Moore not so much, Dalton yes, Pierce maybe no, maybe yes (depends on how one appreciates the situation in the end of the Cold War).
No Time To Die catching covid in a movie theater watching the latest Bond film. Very disappointed it's not being released on Netflix. I enjoy all the Bond films except Moonraker, it's my favorite movie franchise. No female Bond's please!
Pierce Brosnan, once he quitted being Bond, flopped in most of his movies, the only impressive one is Thomas Crown Affair.
I dont think he knows how to act,Bond does not require good acting.
But who is that rather pretty lady next to him? (The black female)
She is ...
Spoiler
A 007. Not THE 007. The 00- is a ranking designation. Basically the "license to kill." So yes, she is definitely an agent in the movie. But she is not "the next James Bond."

Daniel Craig has been made an Honorary Commander in the Royal Navy by First Sea Lord Admiral Sir Tony Radakin.

Craig said: âI am truly privileged and honoured to be appointed the rank of honorary commander in the senior serviceâ.
He is keen to support personnel within the Royal Navy, with a particular interest in service families.
Craigâs appointment to the rank â the same as that of his on-screen spy persona â reflects his personal support for UK armed forces and links it with the legacy created through the guise of the fictional British secret agent.
First Sea Lord Admiral Sir Tony Radakin said: âI am delighted to welcome honorary commander Daniel Craig to the Royal Navy.
âOur honorary officers act as ambassadors and advocates for the service, sharing their time and expertise to spread the message about what our global, modern and ready Royal Navy is doing around the world.
âDaniel Craig is well known for being Commander Bond for the last 15 years â a naval officer who keeps Britain safe through missions across the globe.
âThatâs what the real Royal Navy does every day, using technology and skill the same way as Bond himself."
The Royal Navy even has a few real-life Bonds within its ranks, with Lieutenant Commander Frances Bond invited to meet Craig ahead of the launch of the new film.
Lt Cdr Bond, based in Portsmouth, said: âIâve had my fair share of light-hearted banter from colleagues over being a real-life Bond but I never imagined I would actually one day get to meet the actor who played him.
âI really enjoyed speaking to Daniel Craig and the rest of the cast. It was fascinating to hear their perspectives on working with the armed forces and learning a bit about the world of Hollywood.
âThere are some strange similarities between what we do. Iâve been lucky enough to travel the world during my service with the Royal Navy, like the cast have too with their filming locationsâ.
Well, good for him!.......but that is meaningless here.
I am not saying that Daniel Craig ruined Bond, the franchise did that. He was just playing the part.
Personally, I have nothing against Mr. Craig...........but, then again, I've got nothing for him, either.
I thought he was fairly good as Bond, although some of his Bond movies were better than others, and I am sure 'No Time to Die' will be a big box office hit.
In terms of the next Bond, the current bookies favourite is Tom Hardy.
Other main contenders include Rege-Jean Page, James Norton, Luke Evans, Idris Elba and Henry Cavill.
Staying on the subject of British Spies, a television series based on Len Deighton's The Ipcress File is currently under production, with Joe Cole taking on Michael Caine's old role as British spy Harry Palmer.
Well, good for him!.......but that is meaningless here.
LOL! Too true.
