Many movie theaters are still closed indefinitely & others don't want to go to the theaters again yet, so HOW have you watched the latest movies? Are they coming out ON DEMAND via our cable TV companies? I want to see some movies, such as...
Tenet
Come Play (that comes out tomorrow, 10/30)
& more
Unless it's a movie that I really, really, really am interested in seeing, I'll wait. I could get some movies on demand, but so far haven't. For now I'm catching up on older movies that I haven't yet seen.
There really aren’t any useful tricks. If the movie is only playing in theaters (like Tenet), you either have to go to a theater to see it or wait until it is eventually released for streaming. (I suppose you could look for a pirated copy online, but that is of course illegal.)
For now I'm catching up on older movies that I haven't yet seen.
Old saying: "A movie you have never seen before is new to you."
So many movies have been made over the past 100 years that even if you never again watch the latest movies coming out each year, you can always manage to watch a "new" movie.
Right, I'll just wait. Just wondering though what ways there were out there.

Yep, there's always something out there that someone hasn't seen.
I haven't seen any new movies in these whole last almost 9 months of COVID.
I don't know about streaming services. I want to watch from the comfortability of my TV & sofa. Streaming would mean I'd have to watch a 2-hr movie at my desk on the computer...uncomfortable! & I don't have one of those Smart TVs.
I think some movies can be rented from my cable TV company, so I can try to view it that way.
You don't need a smart TV ... you can get a Fire stick or Roku for $30.
This! As long as a TV has at least one HDMI slot, it can be used for streaming. Honestly, you don't want a Smart TV, because they quickly become Dumb TVs. Manufacturers stop updating the apps after two or three years, and then the apps don't work any more. It's a lot easier and MUCH cheaper to update a device you plug into the TV, like an Amazon Firestick, a Roku, a gaming device (XBox or Playstation), or a Blu-ray player.
