Enemy of the state. I consider it a christmas movie in the same way die hard is christmas movie. It's usually on my holiday watch list.

I'd say Godfather needs to be put in as a holiday movie. There's that one scene of Christmas shopping and just epic tone of the movie.

Sound of Music as well is a Christmassy movie, often played during the holidays.

The Lion In Winter. Surprised to have made it to the third page without it being mentioned

One of my favorite movies of all time, though historically inaccurate.

Henry II (Peter O'Toole) lets his wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine (Katharine Hepburn), out of the castle where he keeps her prisoner (that part is accurate) for Christmas, and they exchange wars of words beautifully and manipulate their sons against each other.

Yes! My family often quotes dialogue from this movies (now my grandbabies are starting to do it). My favorite: " Hush, dear. Mother's fighting".

What did you think of that travesty of a remake?

I didn't watch it. I just won't. Glad to know I didn't waste my time from the sound of your word choice.
