I still go, but only if it's for a big movie and I'm hearing great things about it, or for anything superhero-related. This year so far, I saw Shazam, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Toy Story 4. Toy Story I saw with my girlfriend and a bunch of her friends and their SO. With that being said, the only time I'll go aside from by myself or with the GF is when I go with a group of people. Hoping to see the Joker movie this weekend.

I dont go to the movies as often as I used to. We setup a 100" screen/projector with 3D technology at home, a comfortable and cozy sectional, if we want drinks, food, popcorn, candy, we buy them at the supermarket. We took our 5 year old 2 weeks ago to watch The Addams Family and my husband and I were annoyed at the high-schoolers sitting in the back talking and laughing throughout the movie. Also, we all the threats there's been lately about mass shootings in the movie theaters, I prefer to stay home!

We still go 3 or 4 times a month. We go to Tightwad Tuesday so the ticket is only $5.50 each. I bring in my own water, we do not buy popcorn or any concessions. I enjoy it. Many times, there are only about a dozen people in the theater, & so far, everyone is quiet & respectful.

We haven’t been in many years, I can’t even remember. As our home system steadily improved we found the theater experience increasingly lacking. The cost, inconvenience, noisy and rude patrons, the stink of someone’s perfume or cologne from three rows down and finally, lack of subtitles, Ha! We almost always have subtitles on for shows and movies these days. We enjoy our home experience much more and I can’t imagine ever going back again.

I definitely understand this. Another thing is that at the theaters you are basically bound by their showtimes. At home I decide when the movie starts and when it ends

Too Loud!!! The previews will damage your ears. I go in with earplugs, this is a health issue ignored.
