This leaves me so conflicted about my wishes for Solo.
I'll be honest. I wanted a Han Solo prequel movie like I wanted someone to rub salt rocks in my eye. But now that it is done I would love for it to be the greatest STAR WARS movie of all time.
Do I think it will be? No. But I hope it is at least good, and I hope Lucasfilm gets their act together. There is absolutely no excuse for THE LAST JEDI to have been the disappointing mess of a movie it was.

I'm afraid AFtrEFkt is correct. They have doubled-down in asserting that TFA and TLJ are exactly what they wanted to release, and they see no reason to do anything any differently.
I’m so bummed! This guy is nothing like Han Solo. Why couldn’t they have used the guy in Age of Adeline? He was perfect as a younger Harrison Ford! He had his voice and mannerisms down perfect.

That actor Anthony Ingruber did kind of a Han Solo impression video that's on YouTube. The production quality is amateurish, but he nails the impression.

I dunno. It's a fine line to walk. If an actor starts "doing an impression," it can come across as schtick. And Ford not only has a distinctive look, but a distinctive voice, mannerisms, etc. Ingruber definitely looks like a young Ford (he's got the nose).
But done is done. Ingruber wasn't cast. Alden Ehrenreich was. The only movie I've ever seen him in was HAIL, CAESAR! and he was really, really great in that.
I said before that there is probably a decent heist movie to found in the Star Wars universe. Maybe this is it.
And Dave Filoni did give us a decent Star Wars comedy episode in Rebels.
