A source who worked on the film says it's "Star Wars underwater." Looks like he's not kidding.
OK, now that might be a deterrent for me, I've never been much into "Star Wars" especially the weird creatures that made up much of the movie. I'll wait and see what more I hear about the movie to make up my mind. At least it's not like the old days when you had to stand in line up to 3 hours to see the lastest blockbusters; in that case, I for sure wouldn't be going to see it. I remember having to stand in line at least a couple of hours to see the first "Star Wars" on account of the guy I was dating. I did love the storm troopers whenever they appeared on screen though.

Agreed. I'm not really interested in seeing "Star Wars under water."
You guys are taking it too literally, as usual. Star Wars is about, by and large, spectacle. It's space opera. Wan says Aquaman will be akin to high adventure. The Star Wars comparison obviously means the scope will be large, the vistas will be grand. There's a quest aspect to the movie, too. Why don't you wait for the trailer next week before writing it off like last week's undercooked eggs at Denny's?

If you're worried about "weird creatures," don't be. That was the first pic we got of a species that was less humanoid than what we're used to. The majority of characters will be metahumans. And don't forget: Black Manta's head is really a helmet.

Without even seeing the trailer I can sum up the plot pretty easily...the good people come up against a powerful enemy, victory seems impossible, but they miraculously come out on top by working together.

It's an Aquaman vs. (his brother) Orm plot. With Black Manta on the side.
But thanks for describing the plots of Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther.

But if the trailer does depict a Star Wars like movie, then you might end up with egg on your face, AFtrEFkt.(And I say that jokingly. )

Expect to see a lot of action. Expect to see exotic weapons. Expect to see landscapes, I mean seascapes, we've never seen before on film. Expect to see strange new technologies.
D@mn, it sounds like a STAR WARS MOVIE!!!
Except for that bare-chested biker dude.
P.S. I love eggs!
